Premiering our Introduction to American Business History Zoom Course
The American Business History Center and Gary Hoover are pleased to introduce our first zoom course in American business history. We have been unable to unearth any other online or zoom course about this critical subject.
In order to understand business, it is important to know how we got to where we are today. Any business leader, entrepreneur, student of business, or history lover has much to learn from the timeless lessons of the great businesses and their leaders, both success and failure.
The course will consist of four zoom discussion sessions, at 7:30 PM Central time on four successive Tuesday evenings in 2022: January 11, January 18, January 25, and February 1. Each discussion will last ninety minutes and be led by Gary Hoover. The discussions will require reading online articles or watching online videos prior to each session, totaling up to two hours of “homework” each week. Course participants will be asked to talk about what they learned from the readings and videos, and how the ideas and lessons apply today.
